  With the understanding that this practice was sold within the last year, their refusal to provide any consideration for a dog adopted there 10 months ago who has been found to be heartworm positive, in spite of testing at the time of adoption and routine care since, is very disheartening and sad. Pet ownership has its risks and adopted animals have more so. And the sale/transfer of a business includes both its assets and liabilities. For the sake of the animal and in the interest of good faith, a request for treatment assistance, whether in shared costs or reduced fee, seems both reasonable and appropriate. Whether the decision is legal or not, I prefer to deal with people who have compassion for the animals that pass through their doors and the people who open their homes to a rescue.

  Riverside Animal Hospital is clean, bright and spacious. The staff are very friendly and helpful. Dr. Mueller is an excellent veterinarian. My dogs love her!!!
